The Ultimate Guide to All-Natural, Eco-Friendly Cleaning Recipes

I’m excited to share four of my favourite all-natural cleaning recipes that you can easily make at home: an all-purpose spray (which is the BEST one to make and can actually cover almost all surfaces), glass spray, bathroom spray, and vinegar spray.
These recipes are simple, effective, and kind to the environment (including being kind on your purse!)...
1. All-Purpose Spray
This versatile cleaner is perfect for tackling a variety of surfaces, from benchtops and sinks to tiles and appliances.
Ingredients:

2 cups Filtered or Distilled Water

4 tablespoons of Liquid Castile Soap
-
20 drops of Essential Oil (lemon or tea tree for their antibacterial properties)

500 mL Spray Bottle
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients into the spray bottle and shake.
- Add more water if you have additional space in the bottle.
- Spray onto surfaces in need of a sparkle & shine
- Wipe clean with a dry microfibre cloth.
Note: Castile soap is a versatile vegetable-based soap that's made free of animal fats and synthetic ingredients.
2. Glass Spray
Keep your windows and mirrors streak-free with this natural glass cleaner.
Ingredients:

1.75 cups of Filtered or Distilled Water

1/4 cup White Vinegar

1/2 teaspoon of Liquid Dish Soap

20 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
-
500 mL Spray Bottle
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in spray bottle and shake.
- Add more water if you have additional space in the bottle.
- Spray onto windows, glass or mirrors.
- Buff dry with a glass cloth for a streak-free shine.
3. Bathroom Spray
Fight bathroom grime with this powerful, yet gentle, cleaner.
Ingredients:

3/4 cup Filtered or Distilled Water

1.25 cups of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide

1/2 teaspoon Liquid Dish Soap

15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
-
15 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil

500 mL Spray Bottle
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in 'Bathroom' spray bottle and shake gently.
- Spray directly onto the areas with mildew or mould and let it sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing with a brush.
- Rinse off, dry with a microfibre cloth, then repeat where needed.
4. Vinegar Spray
A simple yet effective cleaner for a variety of household tasks.
Ingredients:

1 cup Filtered or Distilled water

1 cup White Vinegar

6 drops each of Eucalyptus, Lemon + Peppermint Essential Oils

500 mL Spray Bottle
Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in 'Vinegar' spray bottle and shake gently.
- Spray onto any surface requiring removal of grease, grime, dirt, and other debris.
- Wipe off with a microfibre cloth.
Note: Avoid using vinegar on porous surfaces such as marble, stone, granite & polished concrete to avoid possible damage.
